Deliverable · ENU Points (E, N, U)

Plain-text ground points for any workflow

The simplest possible deliverable: ground-classified lidar points as East, North, Up text — one point per line. Every surveying package, CAD platform, spreadsheet, and script can read it.

Ideal when your tool predates modern point-cloud formats, when you’re importing into machine-control or stakeout software, or when you just want data you can inspect with your eyes.

Step 1

Draw your site

Points are clipped to your boundary.

Step 2

Choose spacing and CRS

Thinned to a regular spacing you pick; any EPSG; survey localization (combined factor, rotation) supported.

Step 3

Download .enu text

Open it anywhere — even Notepad.

Built for

  • Import into legacy survey and machine-control software
  • Quick elevation checks without GIS
  • Custom scripts and spreadsheets — no parser dependencies

Opens in: Excel, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, any text editor.

Common questions

What exactly is in the file?

Ground-classified points as East North Up columns in your ordered coordinate system, thinned to your chosen spacing. No header magic, no binary — plain ASCII text.

Can it match my survey control?

Yes — orders support survey localization: combined or grid × elevation scale factors and true-north rotation about a base point, so the points land on your project datum.

How big are the files?

Text is verbose: a large site at tight spacing can run to hundreds of MB. The configurator shows the point estimate before you order; coarser spacing shrinks files linearly.
